What to See & Do: Tourist Attractions

Beaches & Islands After about 1 hour heading west on the Pan-American Highway you start reaching the beach towns of the Pacific Coast and if you drive north, you will make it to the Caribbean Coast, also in a little over one hour.

Historic Sites Visit the fortresses built on the Atlantic coast by the Spanish Crown to protect transatlantic trade from the constant threat of pirates. They are magnificent examples of 17th and 18th century military architecture.

Nature & Wildlife There is a significant number of National Parks nearby Panama City, among them Soberania, Camino de Cruces, Chagres, and Campana.
